These studies explore the pixel as a unit from which an image can be constructed, reduced and transformed.

Colour is organised through discrete blocks, grids and overlapping fields. Changes in scale, transparency and resolution alter the relationship between individual units and the image they collectively produce. At close range the structure becomes visible; at distance, the units merge into another condition.

Developed digitally across different periods, the studies form an ongoing investigation into colour, perception and the point at which information becomes image.
