Black Pyramid developed in 2022 through experiments with line ornaments, using repeated linear elements to construct a series of nested squares.

The prints explore how a flat geometric structure can produce the perception of depth. Through repetition, rotation, density and changes of direction, multiple planes appear to advance and recede. What remains physically a square begins to behave spatially.

The resulting form can be read as a pyramid seen from above: volume compressed into a two-dimensional plane. The structure remains ordered and precise, while optical interference continually shifts our perception of its depth and orientation.
