The Making of the Cube explores how a simple geometric structure can generate increasingly complex forms.

A square grid provides the starting condition. Through printing, repetition, rotation, displacement and overlap, the structure begins to transform. Openings become solids, layers produce new geometries, and two-dimensional arrangements acquire the perception of volume.

Colour introduces another variable. Registration, transparency and misalignment reveal relationships between layers that are not present within any single impression. What begins as a stable system gradually produces difference, complexity and instability.
